The story in
motion which I have often demonstrated seeks to help children with
speech and incarnation problems in an enjoyable, non-pedantic story
sequence which is designed to meet the individual child's problem.
Walking, running, jumping, skipping, galloping and other movements
are interspersed with narrative, speech exercises, singing and
plot. The space becomes full of imaginative content which is built
up over a number of weeks or months. The story or a segment of the
story is recapitulated during each session and more content is
added which the child learns and applies in the following
sessions.
Thus, a
healthy therapeutic framework carries the story and the progressive
curative exercises.
